Events — Light up Maidstone

OneMaidstone BID are delighted to be working in partnership with Maidstone Borough Council and Cohesion Plus to deliver the ‘Light Up Maidstone Festival’. The festival will see Maidstone Town Centre lit up during the evening with light displays and interactive installations as well as live, culturally diverse entertainment.

9 local schools and some 600 children will be taking part in free artistic workshops delivered by Same Sky Arts in the lead up to the festival, creating their own unique lanterns which they will then have the opportunity to showcase during the parade. The parade will start at Sessions House and pass through the town centre to Jubilee Square where there will be a fantastic climax of entertainment and dazzling light presentations. Parents, guardians and local residents will be welcome to join in the parade as the festival will be free to attend.
