Earth Day is a global event celebrated every April 22nd, and it reminds us of the importance of taking care of our planet. We all know that our planet is facing some serious environmental challenges like climate change, deforestation, and pollution. But don’t worry, we’re here to spread some positivity and show you that there’s always something we can do to make a difference!

One of the best things about Earth Day is that it brings people together from all over the world to take action towards a common goal. By celebrating Earth Day, we’re joining a global community of eco-conscious individuals who care about the environment and want to make a positive impact. So, let’s get started!

At Fremlin Walk, we’re dedicated to promoting sustainability and minimizing our ecological footprint. This Earth Day, we have several initiatives that showcase our commitment to the planet and encourage eco-friendly practices. Here are just a few examples:

• We’ve installed a green roof that features beehives, which play a critical role in our ecosystem. We’re delighted to support the bees by providing a home and habitat for them. The beehives were introduced by two local beekeepers, William, and Stephanie, and are maintained by them on a regular basis.
• Additionally, we’ve planted a living green Sedum roof with low-growing succulent plants for our bees as well planters on the roof of our public toilets.
• We also recycle our coffee grounds and repurpose them in our planters and green spaces with the help of our gardener. Coffee grounds are an excellent fertilizer, and by reusing them at our centre, we’re reducing our waste and contributing to a more sustainable future.
