As the most magical time of the year approaches, we’ve got two things on our minds – Christmas party style and gifts for our friends and family. I’ve put my thinking cap on and come up with some fab festive gift ideas for him, her and the kids, as well as a an item or two for your own ‘treat me’ list!
Firstly, let’s fill your family’s stockings with some Yuletide must-haves. My first stop for the little ones is Early Learning Centre, as I just love their modern take on traditional classic toys. On a recent visit I spotted a beautiful kitchen set, alongside Play Dough starter kits and a Happy Land treehouse – surely something for every little person’s Santa List! And don’t forget to visit Build-a-Bear Workshop to welcome a new furry friend to your family this Christmas.
Jack Wills, Fat Face and Superdry all have cosy knitwear and accessories to die for. I simply adore this Jack Wills scarf, just perfect to snuggle up next to your man with this winter.
HMV is a sure-fire hit to pick up gifts for friends. Gaming, music, classic films, calendars..the list is almost endless! Stormfront is a tech-inspired winter wonderland..I must admit that I’ve got my eye on an Apple iMac, which I’m really hoping to wake up to on Christmas morning!
For scent-sational gift sets, The Body Shop is bursting with ideas. Check out this Beauty Advent Calendar, which your fave beauty-conscious mate will just adore. Spend time browsing the beauty brands at House of Fraser including Decleor, Rituals, Benefit and Clarins – my personal favourite this season is this beautiful gift set from Decleor.
And now, how about a festive treat for yourself? We’re spoiled for choice on the high street this party season as there are so many trends taking pride of place. Victorian era influences are huge (look in ZARA and H&M) with some gorgeous pieces to wow at the Christmas party. Team a high neck lace top with a cute leather mini skirt and ankle boots to show off your gothic-inspired style credentials! If you’re looking for a little more sparkly, choose an embellished or sequinned number. Our model (above) rocked the Christmas glitz look at Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone, with this glam and gorgeous ombre dress. Mix and match with the co-ord jacket to sparkle brighter than the fairy at the top of the tree!
