The Maidstone Mile!

Following on from the Torch Relay in the morning there is also a Mile Run through the town in the evening, starting in Week Street at 6.15pm. The route is through Week Street, into Station Road, then into St Faith's Street, along Fairmeadow and then up the  High Street to finish at the junction with Week Street.

The race will start at 6.15pm and it is envisaged that there could be delays to traffic that is exiting Fremlin Walk car park for a small period of time. A traffic management system is in place to close roads for the shortest period of time possible, and have been asked to keep the entrance and exits open as long as possible before the run comes past. As soon as the final runner has passed by, the road will be re-opened.

An additional 45 minutes exit time will automatically be added to all car park users tickets to avoid any further delays.
