On Saturday 11th February hundreds of eager Maidstone shoppers visiting Fremlin Walk entered the 'Fremlin Ice' competition to win a gorgeous heart-shaped diamond pendant worth £1500 from Fraser Hart for their sweetheart this Valentine's Day!

All they needed to do was to tell us how long they thought it would take the ice to melt and the pendant to drop.

Indeed, over 300 entries were received with educated guesses ranging from between the lowest of 2 hours 45 minutes and 37 seconds to the highest guess of 620 hours 5 minutes and 33 seconds.

And we are happy to announce that we now have a winner - Mr Paddy Smyth of Maidstone who came closes to the actual time of 76 hours 27 minutes 53 seconds with a guess of 76 hours 26 minutes and 41 seconds.

There were two other guesses which came very close to winning, with Sean Rustrick who guessed at 76 hours 30 minutes and 40 seconds and John Wilson who guessed 76 hours 12 minutes and 32 seconds.

There were 314 entries to the competition and our congratulations go to Paddy Smyth, we look forward to welcoming him to the Centre and Fraser Hart to collect the gorgeous pendant.
